Find Your Musical Community With Us

When you join the Arlington Chorale, you are joining a community that extends beyond weekly rehearsals. Throughout the year, we gather for social events, volunteer with nonprofit organizations to serve those in need, and strengthen our connections with each other and our broader community through the transformative power of music.

What’s on the Horizon for the Upcoming 2026-2027 Season

The Arlington Chorale is now scheduling auditions for our 60th anniversary season, a milestone year of beloved masterworks, brand-new music, and a culminating performance at Carnegie Hall. If you're a singer who loves meaningful music, thoughtful collaboration, and being part of something larger than yourself, this is the season to join us.

Here's what's ahead: Fauré's Requiem in the fall, Elaine Hagenberg's luminous Illuminare in the spring, and the world premiere of Our Future Four Seasons, a new work the Chorale has commissioned from composer Dominick DiOrio. Along the way, you'll explore everything from intimate a cappella pieces to large works for chorus and orchestra. Then, in May, singers will have the option to take the stage at Carnegie Hall.

Our 90+ singers come from across Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland: recent college graduates, parents, retirees, lifelong choristers, and returning singers alike. You'll find a welcoming community that takes care of each other, brought together by the love of choral singing. Between rehearsals, you’ll find us at monthly post-rehearsal happy hours, volunteering at retirement communities and Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area, and participating in three afternoon retreats each season that include plenty of social time. If you read music, have sung in choirs before, and are excited to sing with a group that values connection, excellence, and high level musicianship, we'd love to hear you.

Auditions will be held Monday, July 13 and Monday, August 3 from 7:00-9:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington located at 601 N Vermont St, Arlington, VA 22203.
